Nina Elema (1998, Groningen) is an autodidact Dutch visual artist. based in Amsterdam.
Elema’s practice investigates identity, existentialism, and femininity. Her work moves between figuration and abstraction, constructing intimate visual worlds where forms and shapes linger between lived reality and subconscious imagination. Space is not the backdrop, but a psychological frame. She explores how environments shape, enclose, and recontextualize human connection, behavior and emotional presence.
Her work functions as an ongoing dialogue between space, time, and human presence.
